Meet the Owner

Welcome!, my name is Jennifer Spratley and I am the owner of Upshot Pickleball. It’s nice to meet you! Like many people, I am a pickleball addict! I have been playing pickleball for over 6 years and   love everything about the sport, especially competing. The unique culture and diversity it encompasses is unmatched.

I have competed in many tournaments, seen the “behind the scenes” and the results. Not only do I love pickleball but I have a passion for customer service, making people laugh and feel comfortable, and organizing events. This is why I started Upshot Pickleball. I want Upshot Pickleball to be well known in the tournament scene in Virginia. I want players and spectators to remember Upshot Pickleball for its dedication to the player’s experience. 

Upshot Pickleball is an organization that will deliver a tournament experience that is not only fun but also competitive. We will do our due diligence to try to keep tournament brackets fair using DUPR ratings primarily, and WPRs as a secondary reference. 

We will work hard, listen to the players and encourage feedback at every tournament. The Upshot Pickleball team will always act with integrity and honesty to bring you the tournament experience you love, regardless of if you are playing or spectating.
